Help Keep 78 Playing

Hello 78 Community,

78 Youth Sports needs your help to keep playing.

Why?

Since its inception in 1980, 78 has never seen anything like this pandemic. In 2020, 78 lost nearly a year’s worth of revenue.

Pandemic Predicament

The impact of the pandemic has left us fighting for our existence. Over the past year, we have had to manage the cancelation of the majority of our scheduled programs, including our 2020 Recreational Baseball and Softball League and our 2020-2021 Recreational Basketball League. As we look to the future, things remain uncertain. We need to continue to raise funds so that we can offer our programs to the community for the foreseeable future. Our team and board have worked tirelessly to keep the organization adapting and running by:

  • Creating adaptive online programming.
  • Offering outdoor pop-up camps and clinics in baseball, basketball, and flag football from summer 2020 through the winter into Spring 2021.
  • Offering a Fall Baseball Recreational League to over 700 players.

MLB Pitcher and Park Slope Native, Adam Ottavino, Joins 78’s Cause

Watch this moving and motivating video on what 78 Youth Sports meant to Adam. He is donating and pledging gifts (including a semi-private pitching lesson for three players and some amazing, signed swag).
